Rules

Rules of Golf Canada govern all play, except as modified by local rules.

 

  1. Local Rule E-5 in effect. Ball out of bounds, alternative to stroke & distance. Ball may be moved 2 club lengths into fairway. 2 stroke penalty. (Not in use for competitions)
  2. Local Rule E-11 in effect. A ball striking overhead hydro or telephone wires must be replayed as nearly as possible from its original lie. No penalty.
  3. Local Rule F-5 in effect.  Free relief from an immovable obstruction (like a sprinkler head) near the green.
  4. Local Rule F-9.2 in effect. Free relief from interference to the ball or swing from exposed tree roots.
  5. Safety Screens on 9 & 18 are designated immovable obstructions. Free relief 1 club length no closer to the hole provided under Rule 16.1a. Local Rule E-6 (drop zone) may be authorized for select competitions.
